There is no award for “Most Things Done In A Day” when you wake the kids, feed them, pack their lunches, bring them to school, do the laundry, clean the house, pick them up, drop them off for after school activities, pick them up again, feed them dinner, help them with their homework, and put them to bed. And, that’s an easy day. There is never enough patience in the world for when they become teenagers. There is no amount of preparedness for when they decide to leave the nest. There is never enough wine in the bottle for when you help pay for their wedding. There are few words that can be said when they give you your first grandchild.
